I am an Interior Designer- what that means is that I specialize in listening carefully, observing and finding out how you want to live in your own space. My specialty is being able to take your dream or vision and make it happen so that it becomes the space you would have designed if you had the background, training and experience that I possess.

Spotlight Interview: - I was born and raised in a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I lived there until I was 13 when my family moved to Pocatello because my dad accepted a position at "the Site".
- I have two brothers and a sister. My younger brother and I live here in Pocatello, as do my parents. My brother and I share responsibilities for helping my parents while they age in place. My baby sister escaped to Boise, Idaho a few years ago and my older brother and his brood live in Burley, Idaho.
- I have one daughter, who is the light of my life. She goes to the a local Arts-Based School so a lot of my time is spent helping out with things there. She was recently a lead in the school play and I watched her and sobbed! She is amazing and it is hard to believe she is my child. I volunteer my time for the school doing all of their publicity- press releases, creating their posters, brochures, and their website that I also maintain for them. I have met some wonderful people working to fix-up the school. You really learn who is committed to a project when you work with them side by side.
- When I am not working or teaching, I can usually be found working on my home (inside and out), and endeavoring to learn everything I can to be a successful human being.
- I graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Consumer Economics then returned to ISU to complete an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Design Drafting. I have completed numerous courses in design, color theory and commercial and residential design. I also completed the National Kitchen and Bath Association’s Kitchen and Bathroom Design Training. In addition to that, I also received and Associate’s Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management. Currently I am completing education classes to be certified as a Professional Technical Educator Occupational Specialist in the Design Drafting Field.
I have my own Interior Design Business: A.E.Churba Design, llc and I am an Instructor at Idaho State University College of Technology. With my design business, I love helping my clients create the space of their dreams. As an instructor I really like making a difference in a students life, hopefully helping them to achieve whatever they want to achieve. - Some things most people might not know about me is that I have had the opportunity to live in many places (eight states) all around the country and my favorite spot was the southwest- especially Las Vegas.
I am pretty handy around the house doing my own remodeling and landscaping. My most recent challenge was shoveling 14 tons of landscaping rock in my yard by myself...
